Damn I bought the original for about £40 a year ago thinking it would never be re-released , no details yet on the extra tracks yet though

really like the album so if the extras are good I will probably buy again

well done cherry red for releasing it

Vinny Vero is producing this. He's pretty active on Facebook, and has posted the tracklist...

thanks thats great I will definately get this then as there is some good extra tracks here , the only thing i would comment on is that every lovers sign new york mix has appeared on 12" 80's alternative but that is a really minor gripe . I still think it is good that labels like cherry pop are still making the effort to release items like this . I would just love now that they finally got the rights to release fiat luxs back catalogue

Maybe Cherry Red could focus more on albums that have never been released on CD. This is another waste of space.

The "extras" are asinine. Par for the course for this label.

I don't quite agree that it is another waste of space , I think there is room for both i.e. Albums that have not been on CD before or like the lover speaks album ones that are hard to get hold of now and go for stupid amounts of money for example Red Box Circle in the square which was going for ridiculous amounts and cherry red released it which was very welcome , also The adventures Theodore and Friends

I would also like to see albums like Secession a dark enchantment re-released with extra tracks or the Beloved's Where it is

I own both but if they can source some of the extra 12" singles / b sides then I would buy again

I think the important thing in this digital age is that there are still companies that are prepared to put things out like this physically

You are entitled to your opinion of course but the extras are only asinine if you dont like The Lover Speaks. For those who do, the extras are everything else they ever released in 86 87. So gets my vote and my cash. One of the best albums of the 80s in my humble opinion.

I wouldn't say the extras are asinine, but after listening to them, I could have done without them. Still worth the price, if only to have the original album on CD. The booklet is quite extensive, with the two commenting about the tracks.
