It's been a few years, and it seems that there are newer pressings of "Bostin' Steve Austin" that don't have the glitch in 106 Alive. Thanks to CueTools + contributors, I have used their database to bit-correct my original, glitched version to the new, fixed version.

I actually contacted Cherry Red in January 2013 to draw their attention to the fault and they instantly sent me a digital file of the affected track. They said the fault wasn't on the master, it had occurred during the pressing... a re-press wasn't on the cards at that point, but I had to contact them about something else last week and so I brought it up again, and they sent me a new copy of the whole 2CD, which has since been re-pressed. :D

Cool. Do you have the email address? When was it repressed? Any difference apart from the glitch (catalogue number etc)?

From my own note on the Discogs listing;

"There is an audio glitch on 1-6 Alive. It occurs at approx. 0:35. Cherry Red confirmed this appeared on all pressings at time of release. This 2CD set was then eventually re-pressed after the initial run had sold out and the auto glitch on 1-6 Alive is not present on the second pressing. The only difference between the two pressings is the matrix/runout on CD1/CDA, which reads "CA CDBRED548CD1V2 @" instead of "CA CDBRED548CD1 @@"."

I just contacted them through the website, there's a contact form;

FYI, I contacted them right after anfunny2003 posted, which was about two weeks ago, and nothing. Guess I'll have to contact them again.

I just got my corrected copy in the mail today along with my purchased Kissing The Pink CD. At least they are making good for those of us who are asking.

Actually just received mine a couple of hours ago (Saturday). Didn't even ask for proof of purchase so i can't complain. Very kind of them to do it so hassle-free. Guess (for example) if they sold 1500 and got 50 asking for replacements they can't complain either!

Got mine today, after contacting them again. Thanks, everyone, including Cherry Red. It's this kind of service that makes a loyal customer.

I hope this means that a new pressing was needed because they sold out of the first, as opposed to the pressing plant having to fix the botched job to fulfill the contract.
