This site is slipping. Missed release

I usually can count on someone from this site to post when something new/old is being re-released, but I just found out about this item today and was disappointed it had been out for the last month and no one mentioned it. I snapped it up, so here it is for anyone else who may be interested. Loads of unreleased material:

The only one I own from your list is the Seagulls track. Never was much for Fashion.

Would be fairly easy to edit one from the Cherry Red release. Instead I edited the video to fit the LP version.

Love Shadow (7") is different from the cherry red version and has perhaps never appeared on cd before .

Of course it's different, that is why I said some editing is in order. Use the promo video, not always, but more than likely it's the 7". And I can safely say, I believe it is, for it's definitely not the album version and it's about the length of the 7" vinyl release.
Also back then, more often than naught, the 7" was created from the LP version by some flunky like myself with a little editing skills and half an ear.

I think what Omar is try to say that it is a different mix and I think some different drum sounds and not just a straight edit of the album version , I remember when I got the cherry red release I was disappointed that it was not on there

It's not, it's just a little faster pace and they edited a different intro, nothing special. It's basically the LP version. None of the 12 inch version is used. I'm really not a huge fan of this band either. Just an interesting experiment for it's time, like a lot of these bands around these years, first wave.

I just played both and although there are not too many differences it does sound a more polished mix and the backing music behind the woman speaking sounds better on the 7 inch something you could not get by doing your own edit . I suppose it's personal taste but too me there does seem enough differences to make it a better version , it was common practice for bands in the 80's do different mixes of the album versions if released as a single

That woman speaking is BTW Gina X. I do like the 7" mix better. I read somewhere that the synth drums were re-recorded in mono. Don't know if that's true or not. I feel kinda bad that Rubellan wanted to talk about The Bolshoi on this thread and we all switched over to Fashion. It's all my fault.

I have no doubt that the Cherry Red remaster sounds different than the vinyl. Too bad you guys can't do a clean transfer to digital and provide a 96/24 track for remastering if your unwilling to do it yourselves. Anyways here's the video edit I redid with the supposedly lousy Cherry Red LP version release. Note: I just took the LD analog intro without cleaning it up, wasn't going to waste time with that annoying intro. I also used it for the video.

Thank you. That's actually very good. I'm not tech savvy when it comes to remastering/editing etc.

That's very funny how the threads sometimes evolve from one subject to another :D

Anyway, here's rip of the Love Shadow 7" if anybody's still interested (with vinyl noises intact for added pleasure!):
