Oh man I love 'White Horse'. Is the 12" the same as the version on the lp? The lp version runs 5:42.

Edisonside mentioned Frank Tovey's 'Snakes and Ladders' which I picked up myself within the last year. I also have the TV21 lp 'thin red line', which features the song 'Snakes and Ladders' (NOT the same song). Is 'Snakes and Ladders' an English phrase, maybe a kid's game?? Any Brits out there know?

A couple days ago got:

Red Flag - Naive Art
Annabel Lamb - Once Bitten
Visible Targets - Autistic Savant
Stiff Little Fingers - Go For it

And picked up for $1 what I had resisted for 22 years... a copy of Taco's 'After Eight' lp.

Just the other night I found a copy of The Planets "Goon Hilly Down". Great stuff !
I had owned a copy of their sophmore effort "Spot" since it came out in the very early 80's but until now their first one wasn't easily found (at least in these parts).

First post to forum:

Hmm.. over the last 2 years I've picked up a few records I've wanted for years or just happen to run across again including:

The Del Byzanteens - Lies To Live By
Andre Cymone - Livin' In The New Wave
Glorious Din - their 2 albums
Ken Lockie - The Impossible
Princess Tinymeat - Herstory (though there's a Jap. cd out there)
etc and etc

I've started transferring some to cdrs already. I've also picked up tons of cool albums finally issued on cd, usually with bonus tracks.

In the dollar bin:

Specials - s/t
Rachel Sweet - And Then He Kissed Me
Brian Ferry - Another Time Another Place
Modern English - Ricochet Days

In the $3 bin:

Phil 'n' The Blanks - Multiple Choice

In the $5 bin:

Kate Bush - Hounds of Love marbled color vinyl (I have never seen a copy of this for less than $40, I even made the clerk aware of the low price tag. He siad "once it's priced that's the price")

Ollie, congrats on the Kate Bush. Usually it's the opposite it for me - - shell out the $20 plus for that release you've sought for months and then find it a week later for $3.

Just picked up:
Single Gun Theory - Exorcise this wasteland
the Zones - Under Influence
New Model Army - No Rest for the Wicked
Fra Lippo Lippi - Songs

Not too 80s today, but I picked up Duran Duran's new LP 'Astronaut' on a double-vinyl. I also got a Rick James album and Clash comp, along with Yes (Your Move/America) and Chuck Berry (Oh Baby Doll/Wee Wee Hours) 45s.

Found a French pressing of Soft Cell's "Non Stop Erotic Caberet" for $2.25. It's really funny, but I don't think I've ever owned this album before.

Through Gemm, I picked up a great 45: The Flowerpot Men - Beat City/Blue Room - I'm Afraid. Before the theatrical release of Ferris Bueller's Day Off, John Hughes sent a promo 45 to the people on his mailing list. An official soundtrack was never released, and this 45 was as close to a soundtrack as Ferris Bueller ever came.

Blancmange - Lose Your Love

Heaven 17 - Crushed by the wheels of industry

Spandau Ballet - the Freeze

Talk Talk - Living in another world
