Two really good songs.

I like the Razormaid Version of Bappi Lahiri - Habiba.

I also like Amina - Galloui [:)]

Thanks for the great song by Robert Goerl. Do you have any information about this song Mit Dir? Album name, track number, year, album art perhaps? I like the song a lot, and would like to fill in the id tags. I did some Google searching for information, but there is little out there, and what is, is all in German, which I do not read.

Unfortunately not. That was downloaded from somewhere and it's not the version that's on the CD (which I don't have either). You can hear the end of the previous track at the beginning. (I did note your request for tags before so while I don't do tags, I try to include the info when I know it)

Mit Dir was only released as a 12" single and then it was included on the "Night Full of Tension" CD. Both Mute Records.

PS. Try searching for "Robert Gorl". Most people don't know that the "e" represents the umlauts in German [:)].

That's it, thanks.

found this here:

"Robert Gorl has released one album on Mute (Night Full of Tension), and two singles, Mit Dir and Darling Don't Leave Me with Annie Lennox."

"Night full of tension" is Robert Gorls first solo album. In the beginning of 80`s he had to compete with bands like depeche mode, yazoo, human league, ultravox etc..on the english synth arena. That`s because he signed london based Mute Records. As an old synth-fan from that time, this album stands out like one of the best synth albums of the 80`s!! He started off with the 7" "mit dir" wich was a emotional daf-like piece. On this album he really show you what a true synthesizer wizard he is! Songs like "playtime","I love me","love in mind","wind in hair" shows his elegant electronics at the best. The singles from this album "mit dir" & "darling don`t leave me" are great tracks too! Annie Lennox appears on two of the tracks, and she sings "Charlie Cat"! The tracks "aist wieder da","beruhrt verfuhrt","eckhardts party"Mit Dir" and darling don`t leave me(extended) are bonus tracks prior to the LP! these songs are singles, back sides and 12"-bonus tracks! enjoy yourself with a journey through the electronic world of Robert Gorl....

Glad you guys like "Mit Dir". It's a great track that is sooo Kraftwerk. Unfortunately, his album isn't quite as good (from what I recall ... haven't listened to it in a long time). "Darling Don't Leave Me" is worth checking out though. I'm kind of kicking myself for not buying the CD from MuteBank when I had the chance [:(]. It doesn't sell for crazy money but more than what I'm willing to pay for only a couple of good tracks.

PS. His later stuff on Disko B is really crazy/hard techno from what I remember. It's nothing like his DAF stuff.

PPS. I like integrating downloads to these type of threads. Keeps the leechers at bay [:D].

Hmm, what bitrate is it? I have a CD rip I got from somewhere years ago ... think 128 but the problem is that they used bad software/drive to rip it and there are audible glitches everywhere. If you think you have a different rip, please, upload it!

edit// I prefer using YouSendIt (opposed to email) as other people can enjoy too [:)].

My vote would be for Les Rita Mitsouko - Marcia Baïla.

My second choice would be Hungry For You by The Police.

Thanks. It wasn't ripped with EAC (I usually listen to music with headphones, so I can hear all the glitches) but it's better than the one I already have [:)].
