George Lynch last night in AZ

Postby WoodlandParkPunk » Tue Dec 20, 2005 11:47 pm

Being an 80's hair band fan as well, I was excited to see one of the great guitar players of that genre last night in Scottsdale AZ. For a guy pushing 50, he sounded great and looked great. Lifting weights and staying clean has done him well. The old dokken tunes sounded awesome. Good, good show.

A few months ago I happened to see he was touring again and told myself not to forget to catch his show when he came to town. Thanks for the reminder. Whew, that was close! Now I hope I can remember to bring my ear plugs! [:D]

Well I caught the show at The Mailbu Inn the other night. To see George work the fret board from a few feet away was amazing! The guy puts every once of energy into his playing. He slapped hands with the front row as he was leaving the stage and was nice enough to also sign my Lynch Mob cd insert. I also scored a set list and a drumstick from Vinny Appice, which he signed later. [:)]

He truly is amazing. Seeing Vinnie in that setting was super cool too.
