Re: Bootcamp. I was thinking the same thing. I went to allmusic.com to see if I could find out something about them, but the closest matches were all 90s bands.

There are a handful of music videos there I am really excited to see, some I never heard of and interested in hearing what they are all about

I'm most excited about
"Clues" by Robert Palmer (this should be titled "Looking For Clues")
"Too Late" by The Shoes
"I Wanna Be a Lifeguard" by Blotto

"Mr. Briefcase" by Leo Ritenour has to be one of the worst videos I have ever seen. Can someone explain how the group Phd got a video much less a record deal they sucked.

[/quote] I agree! And Rockin' the Paradise (Styx) and Keep On Lovin' (REO Speedwagon) were really bad videos as well.

I have to disagree about PhD. I really liked them at the time. I have their second album and a 12 inch of "I Won't Let You Down."

I am really disappointed in the whole thing. I thought it would be a straight through run of the first day of MTV. I was looking forward to seeing the vj's and fashion.
All VH1 did is run the same videos over and over throughout the day.
I even ran out and bought some vhs tapes to tape the whole thing. [:(][V]

I agree. I bought one of their albums in the 80's out of a delete bin and had heard good things about them, I got lied to. I have played it once back then and then found a few 45's a few years ago and got them with a bunch of others and they still suck.

"I Won't Let You Down" was even worse. And it was a Top 5 hit in England!
