It also keeps me from dropping dead from dull. You are right though, in our society everyone gets their say even if what they have to say adds nothing to the conversation.
I love public meetings. Doesn't matter what the issue is people will get in line just to tell you how long they lived here and how their father who worked at blah blah lived and grandpa too and "I’m for/against whatever. Building a new road, moving the library, siting a power plant it doesn't matter. For every one person that makes a point there are ten morons that haven't got a point and you got to listen politely.
