I'm mostly gone for a couple of days and THIS is what I miss?!!! Some points, ones I've iterated before:

1) No one gives a shit if you come or you go or you come back. No one's 'special'. Self-proclamations are only an opportunity to make a quip or a zinger. If you leave, don't let the door hit you in the ass. If you come back, welcome back now shut the fuck up with either your sycophantic suck-ups to your friends or divisive with-me or against-me posts.

2) Shit, I guess 1 covers it.


PS. For any noobs uncertain of what ex-mod SS was talking about, heh, twern't me!!! Holy hell SS, wow, shazam, and holy schnykees (how DO you spell schnikeys?)...stop being so bashful and indirect. [;)]

man, i said stuff earlier in the thread and then i left n' stuff and now came back 'gain, and no one said nuthin bout the stuff i said? guess no one cares[V] i think i'm gonna leave and all ineed is this remote control and that's all, that's all i need 'cept maybe The ashtray, that's it though, all i need is the remote control , the ash tray and that's it , well maybe this paddle game, so that's all i need the remote control, the ash tray and the paddle game...

Sorry to be such a johnny-come-lately to this thread. Just catching up on all my Sunday morning entertainment reading.

Now this - THIS! - really is the crux IMHO. Beautifully put Wolv. I know back then I ranted and I railed and I bitterly battled even some of my best acquaintances on this board about this issue, just begging for everyone to just shut the fuck up about the kimiiii stuff already. My point was always that that unwittingly gave her way too much import, attracted even more trolls, and freaked a lot of other people out because they didn't know the reasons for all the animosity and harping. All they saw was the said massive shift and were understandably skeeved out. This and the events leading up to it indeed seem to be the decided break toward harsher, less feel-good attitudes on the forum.

Ha. No, it certainly was not you. You saw the comment before it got wiped, and you weren't fuming over it.

Yeah, I guess if "the incident" changed the forum in any way, it's made some of us be less bashful and indirect. To be under the misconception that you're a kindhearted and easygoing guy and then get called "fucking toxic" certainly is an eye-opener. But I can't blame kimiiii for everything. I can only blame her (and her public enemy) for why I won't be sharing any photos or my home address with anyone here. It's not her fault if certain mods did exactly what Mike said he didn't want -- which is making things personal.

Everyone deserves a second chance. Maybe even the person who hurt my feelings. So... since I don't like badmouthing people behind their backs, I guess I hope he does come back. That way, I can tell him off to his face.

Speaking of respect, I hope the current administration will give me the respect that I give them. If ever there's a post of mine that you think went too far (keep in mind I am Irish -- we make jokes at people's funerals), instead of treating me like a 4-year-old, all you have to do is send me a PM and I will gladly remove it myself, no questions asked.

Now that I've said my peace, I am giving kimiiii's thread back to her, wiping the slate clean, starting fresh, and offering her the respect that she has kindly given me.
