Although I voted to welcome Kimiiii back, I'm ambivalent about her return. On the one hand, I'm glad to see she's OK because I worried about her. That was some pretty serious stuff that happened here on the forum, and I assume that what we saw was only the tip of the iceberg. Whatever happened behind the scenes of NWO and in her personal life, I don't want to know--it's none of my business. But I can assume it was very traumatic for her and I empathize, even if I don't know the details. Her request to have her posts and her threads removed, although unpopular among the rest of us, must have seemed necessary to her at the time, given whatever personal situation she was in. Yes, some of the missing threads were classics, and some of the altered threads that remain now seem so disjointed. It's a loss for the forum, to be sure, but I can live with it, because it is, after all, just a message board.

Also, the fact that she wants to begin posting again after such a public upheaval speaks to her positive spirit and her desire to reconnect with people, even when she knows that her return will be controversial, to say the least. Her attempt to reconnect is a positive thing, it suggests personal growth, and I give her the benefit of the doubt.

On the other hand, her return stirs up a lot of bad blood on the forum that I'd rather not revisit. The board has been forever changed by the events surrounding her departure. The climate here is more cynical now--it's palpable. Some people here feel hurt by past events, and I respect their feelings, as well. I don't understand why she would want to subject herself to such animosity, or why she would want to reignite such controversy, when there are people here who clearly don't want her back.

I'm not picking sides. I don't know enough about the details behind the scenes. But I have a forgiving heart. I hope for the good in people, and I cheer for them to bounce back and learn from their actions. Goodness knows none of us is perfect.

BTW, beautiful post, Grunch.

I'm just shocked we have so many drama queens on this board. People that weren't even around for the Kimiii affair are trying to take ownership of the situation. I can understand those affected having a strong (and valid) opinion on the subject, but the "late to the party" folks that weren't around and never had one of their threads or posts deleted need to back off.

And to keep condemning MikeP for the deletions is retarded. He did something that he has admitted regretting, yet Chicken Little is running around telling us the sky is going to fall again and you all will lose your posts. If you really have that little faith in MikeP, go start a competing New Wave forum that will guarantee nothing of the same could possibly happen there. If you offer a better product, I'm sure you'll have no problem attracting members.

So where is she? Kim, If your coming back, do it. Duke it out and be done with it. It is far worse if you say here I am, I'm back and then leave again. They will see you only as a trouble maker.

Yeah, like I care about anything YOU have to say on this, Mr. Vanish for a Year himself. Unless it's about music, consider this the last post of yours I'm responding to. Unless I decide otherwise. Isn't freedom from censorship great?

Excuse me...I gotta go potty now.

Oh no. The Mayor is not speaking to me. My life is over. Whatever will I do. Mr. "Vanish for a year" is heartbroken.

How often do you throw one of these internet tantrums? This has to be at least the third time you've publicly stated that you aren't speaking to me. My three-year old has more resolve than you. Instead of throwing a tantrum, stamping your feet, and crying, why not actually address the point I was making? If you really think MikeP is into censorship, why are all of your snide comments about him still around? Why do you think your multitude of posts containing simplistic stereotyping of peopple that disagree with you are still here? Do you even understand the meaning of the word censorship? You come across as a pretty smart guy that occasionally refuses to use your brain. Now quit whining and get back to writing your 400 meaningless posts a day. You're much more entertaining when you aren't playing the victim card.

hutter, your reply is exactly what would be expected of you. Right on the money. It speaks volumes about you. And I am guessing this is a self-portrait you chose to share.

Who gives a shit about past threads? Move on....

If you want that thread back, start it up again.

I personally could care less what someone wrote months ago or what my response was to a thread.

Kimiii has always had class when it came to posting, more so than a lot of other people here....and I'm including myself!

This place has turned inter Bickerfest USA. I've been caught up in it and it's useless. Waste of time for all involved. Let's talk music and get on with it.

If you prefer to be a dick about it, then go to dickheadoutpost.com and let 'er rip!
