SwampThing, the DVD reviewer said that there's 2 hours of deleted scenes/bloopers with Season 2. What about Season 1? Have you seen that DVD? Is it worth getting?
IIRC there are approx 5-10 minutes of deleted scences per episode. I stopped buying DVD's a while back, I just rent through Netflix now.

The season premiere of The Office was pretty dang good. There were a couple good LOLz moments. Rashida Jones(Jim's possible new love interest), WOW! And to think she's somewhere on my Freaks & Geeks DVDs.

The TV industry is no different than the music industry. Both have overhyped swill they shove down the publics' throat at any cost and will stop at nothing to ensure what they are force-feeding looks more popular than it really is. If a major label wants an artist to get a platinum record, they'll get a platinum record. No ifs, ands or buts about it. It isn't exactly hard to get a platinum record. All they have to do is ship out a million copies... and there's your platinum record. If they only sell 100,000 copies, and the rest get returned, the platinum record doesn't get returned with it. That's why the RIAA is a joke. Reason #31. They go so far as to have lackeys buy up copies up their own albums just to give the illusion that someone must be buying it.

I have no idea who downloads this dud at iTunes, but I'm guessing a good chunk of them are under the employment of NBC Universal, because the ratings don't lie.

It's also one of top selling TV series on Amazon and one of the most rented on Netflix. My point is that it's more popular than you give it credit an I'm not buying your conspiracy theory.

K, fine. How about this conspiracy theory? Baaaaaaaah.

The DVDs are on sale at amazon at the moment. Of course, they're going to be top-ranked. The early sales figures for Season 1 were very poor. Believe me, I saw them. Big seller or not, doesn't change the fact that the show stinks.
I guess I don't. What am I missing?
The reason for the long pauses, awkwardness and glances at the camera is because part of the premise of the show is that the characters are being filmed for a documentary. As for the sexist remarks from Michael, well this is part of his character; let's just say he is anti-PC, which makes for some great moments. As for no story, well it's really about the characters; stories have evolved around them over the seasons. I admit there have been a few duds, but for the most part they are pretty good.

Poor "The Office." A multi-million dollar promotional campaign, an Emmy for Outstanding Comedy, and the best it can muster up last night is a 7 share and a distant 3rd place finish. Well, at least now the "Arrested Development" internet posse can have a new cause d'celebre. And I don't mean beating into submission anyone who dares to say a bad word about it. Maybe for NBC's next wheel-greasing act of bribery, they can buy it an audience?

By the way, SwampThing, why don't you like "Amelie?" Well? Did you know it's #29 on the IMDb's Top 250? With over 84,000 votes? It's also #331 in Top DVD sellers over at Amazon. With an average rating of 4 and a half stars. Since these statistics are so important to you, I just thought you'd like to know. In fact, I'm so impressed by them, I'm off to rent the DVD from Netflix so I can come here and rave about how wonderful it is!
By the way, SwampThing, why don't you like "Amelie?"
I thought it was boring. I never clamied it wasn't popular, I never claimed a grand conspiracy to hype it.

My taste in TV/Movies is not reflective of rankings. I used the rankings to suggest that there are many "paying" fans of the show.
...Since these statistics are so important to you..
With all your talk about ratings/shares, I guess they are pretty important to you. LOL! [:p]

Ah, geez, Office #1 Top Episode and #1 Top season on iTunes today, LOL!
