1969

Postby DonGately » Thu Aug 03, 2006 9:02 am

Hi,

I'm working on a new mix disc exchange with some friends and our songs must come from "The Year You Were Born". For me, that is 1969. I'm thinking about:

- Something from The Velvet Underground: probably "Jesus" or "What Goes On".

- Something from Kick out the Jams by MC5

- "Build Me Up Buttercup" by The Foundations (Does it fit with the other two? Absolutely not! Thus, the beauty of the mix disc).

Anyone have any favorite tunes from this year that they'd like to suggest?

Thanks,

DG

How the hell does it take this long for Bowie to get a mention?! It was the perfect year of synergy for Space Oddity!

Going To California - Led Zeppelin
