I have the 7" single of "Love Cascade" since it was released originally (really a GREAT song) but have never seen the 12" or the Lp it came from. Nice find, brambo...
I've found a few lately:
Eyeless in Gaza - Caught in flux (I probably paid a bit too much for this, no I won't tell you) but I'm a sucker for this kind of '81 english crap..
Farewell to the Roxy comp. - from '78, lots of 2nd (3rd?)-string early punk acts on it, with UK Subs being most well-known. I'm glad I came across this. I have the other 'Live at the Roxy' lp ("Roxy London WC2"...) as well.
'Hicks from the Sticks' comp. - This is also filled with alot of small-name post-punk acts, with some bigger names like Modern Eon, Clock DVA and Medium Medium as well. Like I said, I'm a sucker for this kind of stuff.
Swell Maps - A trip to Marineville. On Rough Trade, found this for $6 which I thought was kind of cheap. Had never come across it before.
Chain Link Fence - Fireworks. On Throbbing Lobster records from Boston. Textbook 1985 alternative, little jangly, maybe like Mighty Lemon drops, nice period record.
Certain General - November's Heat. From 1984, kind of an odd record. Reminds me a little of the Bolshoi. Cover is almost a 'lift' from REM's "Murmer" (very similar!). Nothing like REM, though, but probably after that audience at the time.
Spear of Destiny - Grapes of Wrath. The cover looks better than the music inside. Trouser Press Guide kinda pans it, and I really can't argue. Not alot of excitement on this (to me - you might love it).
