The SOUND

Postby Rubbeet921 » Mon Sep 18, 2006 5:39 pm

"Look in my eyes... see the lust and the love. Look in my eyes... When I'm talking to you. I'll take my life... into my own hands. I'm the one that I will blame... I'm the one that understands"...

What are we gonna do... while we still got the strength to move?
What are we gonna do... I'm asking, I'm asking you"...

----------
What a heart-wrenching song masked in such an upbeat tempo! Listening to their best album (IMO)- "From the Lion's Mouth" right now and getting lost in nostalgia.

Please tell me there are more than 5 members on this board who dig The Sound!!!

The SOUND! The SOUND! Isn't that the song by Simon & ?

Corny!

Yeah, I so dig the Sound. I haven't heard any Adrian Borland solo track but I bet they're just as good. Too bad he killed himself, he had so much talent. I can understand why Ian Curtis would kill himself, probably after racking his brains out trying to figure out a way to duplicate the success of LWTUA [;)] (That's right, you JD weeners! I'm looking for a fight! Come and get some! Just joking, of course [:D][:D][:D]). But Adrian was such a loss.

Yup, I listen to them, sometimes. I have their album SHOCK OF DAYLIGHT/HEADS AND HEARTS. Their song ONE THOUSAND REASON is still best for me.

Hey Rubeet, are we done or what?

Just added a fourth album to my collection, the BBC Recordings now I'm toying with the idea of getting also Jeopardy and perhaps All Fall Down. Does anyone have an opinion on those 2 albums?

I think "Jeopardy" is better than "All Fall Down". No harm in getting both though![:D]

I need to grab that "BBC Recordings"![8D]

I have the "JEOPARDY" Vinyl record fanciz.[8D] There music here is very dark and a little bit gothic. For collection purposes, it's recommended depending on your taste. [;)] I guess my "SHOCK OF DAYLIGHT+ HEADS AND HEARTS" cd which I bought at CD WAREHOUSE before would still be the best album to date because the 19 tracks on the album were great.[8D]...and don't forget the cost to get that album[:D][:D][:D]
