We gotta get some better choices...

I couldn't vote for Kerrystein but Monkeyboy HAS been a disappointment.

Pardon my ignorance but, apart from the Democrats and Republicans, are there more parties represented in your Congress?

There are a coupla "Independents". I think Jesse Ventura, the former wrestler and governor of Minnesota, is Independent. I think there's also a Independent somewhere out on the northern East Coast. Vermont or somethin'. I suppose I could've voted whomever the Libertarian party had on the ballot, if, in fact, they managed to get him on the ballot (doubtful[:I] ). I thought it was pretty funny when the Green Party was getting funding from the Republicans[:D] It is such a nasty mess you gotta have some sense of humour about this shit.

Unfortunately an increasing number of Americans do just that--by not voting at all.

I've said this before: three hundred million people; a cosmopolitian and (generally) well-educated populace with a myriad of experiences and THESE are the two nitwits we have to choose the leader of the free world from?
Nowhere in the Constitution is a two-party system mandated. It's time to get rid of the electoral college and dismantle the two-party system. The politics of voting for the lesser of two evils is just ridiculous.
Never happen, of course...

XXX, we will of course never know what would have happened if Kerry would have won in 2004. Unfortunately I have found Bush to be an embarrasment of a President at best and at worse a threat to the very Constitution he swore an oath to uphold. I'd be curious what policies or endeavors this administration has started that you would consider a success. Not trying to be a smartass, just interested in another point of view..

There's only one party being represented in Congress and it has little to do with the middle class here in the US, esp. in 2004. It's not that I think this administration has done any good, but that there was literally a nobody running against Bush in the last election. We were left with the option of voting for guy who misled everyone and the guy who unquestionably voted for his most destructive policies - only to backpeddal when it was too damn late. I suppose not voting at all would have been the other option, or voting for a third party candidate.

I think at this point you have to be retarded to think that Kerry would have done a worse job than Bush has done. I'd be very interested to see what policy put forward by Bush has actually benefited America.
Oh, I'm sorry you're one of those butthurt whiners who supported a candidate that had no backbone and was equally unqualified for the job. Actually, I'm not sorry. You must be a retarded-retard to think John Kerry actually knew and knows what he's doing, whenever he opts to show up to his job and votes for things which he later meant to vote against.
I'm not a Kerry supporter at all, but with the benefit of hindsight, I can't see how a single person would vote for Bush again. His crew of criminals has done nothing positive for the USA - nothing. I'm willing to be convinced if you can find anything he's been good at. And "butthurt"? Keep your fantasies to yourself NAMBLA boy.

I didn't vote for Bush again, retarded-retard. I voted for Bush once - in the second term election. There was only that guy and a bunch of other losers running for president. There was no way Kerry would've won. I thought Al Gore was a bad choice, but apparently the republican opposition can sink lower and lower in terms of what they can muster as a viable candidate. Sometimes I wonder if there IS a bottom. I wasn't able to vote during the first elections when it really counted (I didn't support Bush then). The second term election did not matter, as we were already fucked by act of Congress. Besides, California was bound to be a "blue state". Only local elections mattered that time.

Thanks for the clarification, NAMBLA boy. So, has Bush done a single thing to earn that vote you threw his way? Fucking Mel Gibson! Grrrr.

No problem, fucktard. NOBODY has done a thing to earn my vote... nobody. I only vote for the least worse. I suppose if I truly wanted to throw away my vote, I'd have voted for Mayor Murphy in the local elections.

Fucktard? I feel like I'm in junior high again. Eat my shorts. And if you think Kerry was the worse of the two choices, you might want to take the GED again.

Ah... a San Diegan. Explains a lot. One of the dumbest damn cities I've ever lived in, and I'll include North County too. Loved all the potheads that thought working to legalize pot made them "environmentalists". And all the "Libertarians" that voted for Bush, a fool with probably the single worst presidential record on civil liberties. And all the retarded Minutemen types that rely on immigrant help to do their landscaping. On a positive note, you do have some damn fine 3AM carne asada burritos.

While working in a hospital in La Jolla, I was ordered to take down two pictures in my cubicle - Martin Luther King Jr, and Thurgood Marshall. Turns out I was being "politically insensitive" and potentially causing problems. Strange that two of the other guys in the office that played the Rush Limbaugh show nightly were never told to turn that crap off. Lots of goose-stepping in that office. That is one seriously scary "Stepford Wives" wannabe community. At least things have changed slightly in the overall political philosophy.

I would only vote blank if I didn't like any of the candidates or parties, I think that's better that not voting, as if you just didn't give a damn about politics and your country. And if I was there, I would have never voted Bush, that's for sure.

Anyway, so far I've always found someone interesting to vote for here, and though like in the US we also have two big parties and always one of them is the most voted, it doesn't mean the winner will rule since there are many small parties that can play an important role.

Blir, I'd vote for you if you were a candidate [:)][;)]

I think the only reason Bushido won the election was because of 9/11. I know alot of people thought he would be more likely to defend us against attack. Man did that go wrong.
