I guess I lean more to Libertarianism (although with some hesitation). My problem with Libertarians in that many of them consider it to be a "political party for those who hate political parties." Thus, Libertarians vary a great deal and it's hard to find two who can agree on every issue.
So to lay it all on the table...I'm pro-choice, pro-right to bear arms, pro-capital punishment, pro-gay marriage, anti-affirmative action (mainly on the ground that it cheapens the achievements of minorities who made it fair and square [i.e. an African-American or a Hispanic might be the smartest person in the school, but with affirmative action in place, might be unfairly looked at by the other students as someone who only made it there "because of affirmative action"]), pro-capitalism (but NOT on the grounds that free markets are somehow a better system or that they serve "the greater good"--I actually don't believe that. It's more along the lines of believing in the ideology of free markets), pro-property rights, anti-censorship of ANY sort, anti-organized religion, pro-war (but anti-torture and ironically, I'm pro-"laws of engagement" and minimizing civilian casualties as much as possible including not bombing funerals even if terrorists are hiding there. I also hate the lazy argument that "we should have either sent a lot more troops or not sent any at all." Finally, I think that going to war to protect corporate interests overseas is actually justifiable), anti-laws against recreational drug use, anti-illegal immigration (but I strongly disagree with rounding up those who are already here and sending them back across the border), and pro-environment (I believe in global warming). Did I miss anything?
